Whats the funniest thing you've ever seen happen in the KH?
by shell69 ini remember being a kid and we didnt have the fancy fabric seats, they were plastic stackable chairs all set out in the usual lines.. an elderly bro, rather rotund, farted, the noise so loud and thundering against the plastic seat!
or the time when i must have been about 7, my dad brought his bible study family to their first ever meeting, i had to sit on mums knee.
i recall giving the daughter of the new family a very vigorous v sign during the meeting.

The Book Study conductor(who was around 80 years old) was looking for hands to answer one of the questions. His wife was the only hand that was raised. He forgot her first name. She said,"Come on,what is my name?" We couldn't stop laughing. He finally remembered her name.

Get well soon!
I found JWD and couldn't believe how much knowledge you have. I love the weekly WatchTower review. They really know how to spin things around. The Elders in each congregation should have as much insight as you. But we all know they don't go beyond what is written.

Did the time come when it became unbearable to walk in the Kingdom Hall?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini didn't attend any meetings in the month of august.
i worked too many hours and i just don't care any longer.
just the thought of driving 45 minutes, greeting brothers and sisters who don't really care about each other, singing the dreadful songs, listening to the boring talk(which are repeats of a repeat),going over the slanted watchtower study and then driving another 45 minutes home.. how did you feel when you knew that it was becoming unbearable to attend another meeting?.

CO tells us the reason for the Tract Work
by stillajwexelder inok so this was told to the entire congregation by the circuit overseer.
"the society knows the tract work brings hardly any new disciples in.
we get a few good experiences out of it and a few start studies and attend a few meetings.

A tract was left at my door a couple of months ago. They rang my doorbell and left after a few seconds. They were off to the next house without even making a presentation.
They start out new members passing out tracks in the preaching work to show how easy it is. They build up easy hours for the month. Also they see who the weak ones are in the preaching work. If they don't show up for the easy assignment of passing tracks, then they know who to counsel on getting in their hours.

I'm sorry that I confused the P.O. with the D.O. I know that each congregation has a P.O. The heavyweights that come twice a year are always looking for me. A couple of months ago they both showed up at my door. My wife told them that I was working. I know that they will be back.

Who brings up my name for the visit? What do tey tell the P.O. and C.O. that they are so interested in me? Or,are the Elders just interested in me just to show that they are doing their job and that they look good in the P.O. and C.O. eyes?

It bothered me that they didn't say why they were at the door and what their purpose was as for the visit.
The last time I was out in service I was a teen and I always indentified myself as a Jehovah's Witness. What are the new rules that the WTS has instructed for the indentification of it's members at householders doors?

Comments You Will Not Hear at the 8-5-07 WT Study (Obedience)
by blondie inand secondly, it has set apart the real followers of jesus christ, the true servants of jehovah god, from all others who profess to be christians but are such in name only.. *** w59 3/1 p. 148 par.
yes, we can give him something very precious.
" (proverbs 27:11) we can give god our obedience.

6) What will help us individually to be obedient? It is appropriate for each of us to ask God for "an obedient heart," as did King Solomon. He asked for such a heart so that he could "discern between good and bad" in order to judge his fellow Israelites. (1 Kings 3:9) We need "an obedient heart" if we are to discern between good and bad in a world permeated with the spirit of disobedience. God has provided us with his Word, Bible study aids, Christian meetings, and caring congregation elders so that we can cultivate "an obedient heart." Are we making good use of such loving provisions?
God provided us with his Word! That's fine.............but God provided us Bible study aids? Did God provide us with Book Studies that sometimes are studied 2 or 3 times? Did God come up with the Watchtower Study,Ministry School,Public Talk,Sevice Meeting,Pioneer School,Conventions, and Assemblies? No ......you the WTS came up with these "loving provisions". Are we making good use of such loving provisions( that the WTS came up with)?
Thank you BLONDIE for your wonderful work!

Aren't Jehovah's Witnesses just living in a ''Comfort Zone''?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy immediate family, aunts, uncles, and cousins have been members for over 25 years.
they attend every meeting, put in their 10 hours of monthly sevice, attend assemblies out of state every year, give talks at the ministry school, avoid "worldly friends'',and do everything the wts requires of them.
they really can't see that the wts has lied to them and will continue until someone steps back and opens their eyes.. what needs to happen in order for someone to get out of the ''comfort zone''?

What needs to happen in order for someone to get out of the ''comfort zone''? Aren't most members just happy being there that something drastic has to happen in order to get out of their comfort zone? And don't most members see the many problems that the WTS have but refuse to leave because they are in the ''comfort zone''?
